A few lucky shots

This was just a few good shots a took though the year. Some times when assisting someone it's very difficult to get shots of your own because you always need to be on the ball when the photographer needs your help getting her a lens or to hold the reflector etc,  to help her or him get that perfect shot.

On a Sunday after a wedding, Christine and I desided to have a little bit of fun. So, we went to the dunes at Aniston and took a few fun pictures of ourselves.

I started working for Christine Meintjes at the beginning of the year as her assistant. She is one of the best wedding photographers out there. So I feel very privileged to work for her. She is not just my boss but one of my best friends.  For one wedding we went away to Aniston and sometimes I get a few shots in myself. Here are a few:

Pasella, here I come!

A few weeks ago on Pasella, they advertised that they are looking for a new presenter. I was so exited, because I love Pasella and I always dreamed of becoming a presenter of a TV show.  So I grabbed the opportunity with both hands and I asked my photographer friend, Lizelle Lotter, if she can take some picture of me. The closing date is on the 31st of December and they will let you know in the first week of January if you are through to the next round. This is such an great opportunity for me to travel through our beautiful country and meet new people. So hold thumbs!! This is just a few pictures of what Lizelle came up with...

The love of my life!!

This is our dog. His name is Lafras. He is the most  spoiled and smartest dog that I have ever seen. He only eats chicken and sometimes you must feed him with your hands. He is the King of the house and the farm. He gets very angry with his "oupa" , thats my dad, if he doesn't take him with to go "boer".  He loves it when you take photos of him. He actually poses when a camera is near. Here is a few examples... 

A weekend at the see

We are 3 children, my brother, me and my sister. We are all finished studying so we don't see each other or our parents that often. For a weekend we went to Tergniet, near Hartenbos to stay at Sune's parents beach house together with her family. We took the opportunity to capture the time we had together and what fun it was.

 

We are engaged!!

One school day, a friend introduced a friend to a friend. They fell in love and started dating. 8 Years later they are Engaged! Congrats to my brother and his girlfriend Sune, who is getting married on the 13th of December at Bygracealone near George.  The 13th is also my birthday so what a party its going to be.

My brother, Fritz, needed a new profile picture for Facebook. So I took out the camera and we started playing around. He was a natural in front of the camera. Wa had a lot of laughs and a few times he was behind the camera and I was the model.

This was the very first shoot I did on my own. At first I was really nervous, but after a while I became more relaxed and couldn't put down the camera. Zoey and Alexander were my first two victims. This was the results....
